Quality Assurance Manager

Our client, a leading food processing facility, is seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Manager to join their team. As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will be part of the Quality Assurance Department supporting the operations team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager

What's the Job?

• Identify and establish appropriate quality standards for products, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Maintain an audit-ready facility at all times through diligent oversight and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage and lead a team of quality personnel, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
• Oversee food safety programs, including annual reassessments, process improvements, and SOP development.
• Serve as the primary contact with USDA FSIS inspectors, leading annual audits and maintaining strong regulatory relationships.

What's Needed?

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in quality assurance within a food processing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in food science or a related field.
• Certifications in HACCP are required; SQF certification is preferred.
• Experience working in USDA-regulated facilities is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in writing reports, policies, and manuals aligned with company standards.
