Location:

Cleveland, OK

Base pay range: $38,072.00 / year.

• Controls access to the facility by verifying identity and purpose of individuals seeking entrance.
• Provides identification checks at gate entrances, maintains visitor logs, issues visitor passes, and greets and assists visitors and vendors while keeping an accurate headcount.
• Monitors the facility using video camera systems, alarms, and personal inspections.
• Physically checks each door and vault to ensure they are locked, inspects the armory, facility, and outbuildings for intruders, and reviews video monitors on a regular two‑hour interval.
• Provides security to the installation, including performing identification checks, vehicle searches, ensuring personnel present proper identification, and contacting the National Guard Representative if risks are observed. Denies entrance to individuals who are not authorized.
• Performs random vehicle searches as warranted by FPCON level and probable cause.
• Provides direction and assistance to individuals seeking entrance and to telephone callers, supplies information, refers callers to appropriate personnel and departments, and notifies the County Sheriff if assistance is warranted.
• Prepares documentation and maintains a daily log for all incidents, security violations, or concerns.
• Maintains a current Armed Security Guard License with the Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training (CLEET).
• Attends CLEET‑mandated training annually.

• Education and Experience – Six months of experience in security or law‑enforcement work or direct care of juveniles in a secure residential facility.
• Licenses/Certificates – Current Armed Security Guard License issued by CLEET.
• Training – Attendance of CLEET‑mandated training each year.
• Physical Requirements
  • Standing for long periods of time.
  • Work in all weather conditions.
  • Lifting a minimum of 15 pounds.
  • Passing a physical agility test (PAT) that includes weapon retention techniques, intermediate weapon performance, handcuffing technique, push‑ups, sit‑ups, and a stipulated endurance test.
  • Availability to work during inclement weather; considered essential personnel.
• Conditions of Employment
  • Contingent on a favorable NCIC/OSBI background check.
  • Contingent on passing a pre‑employment drug & alcohol screening.
  • Contingent on passing a satisfactory MMPI test and a favorable medical exam.
  • Contingent on being a U.S. citizen with eligibility for a T3 (secret) security clearance.
  • Contingent on signing a PAT agreement and meeting physical agility standards.
  • Contingent on providing a copy of the Armed Security Guard license.
  • Contingent on maintaining a valid driver’s license.
  • Contingent on working as required in an emergency or for critical security support.
• Other Requirements – Tobacco and vape‑free facility compliance.
