Electrical Service Technician

Thompson’s is looking for an experienced Electrician to efficiently undertake a variety of tasks. The ideal candidate are patient individuals with a practical mind and a heart to serve our customer’s with efficiency and great attention to detail. • Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
• Perform thorough maintenance on electrical systems to ensure they remain functional and safe.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and diagrams.
• Inspect transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
• Ensure all work meets the company standards and local electrical codes.
• Provide exceptional service to ensure client satisfaction.
• Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and supervisors.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance.
• Invoice and write estimates using our software.
• Keep plumbing stocked on the work van.

• Proven experience as an Electrical Technician or similar role.
• Deep electrical system, power generation, blueprints, and maintenance and repair knowledge.
• Strong understanding of electrical health and safety regulations.
• Experience with various electrical test equipment.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem‑solving ability.
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• High school diploma/GED required;
  Electrical Technician certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is preferred.
• Valid electrician license/subsequent certification as required per state regulation.
