Lead Painter

Job Description

We are seeking a Lead Painter to oversee residential interior and commercial building painting projects while guiding a small crew of 2–3 painters. This role combines hands-on painting expertise with daily project coordination, material planning, quality oversight, and a strong commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for interior and exterior painting.
• Apply paint using appropriate methods, including spray painting.
• Match colors accurately according to project requirements.
• Assign daily tasks and coordinate work for a crew of 2–3 painters.
• Order and stage materials needed for each project.
• Oversee painting projects in residential interiors and commercial buildings.
• Inspect completed work to ensure consistent quality and attention to detail.
• Maintain compliance with workplace and project safety requirements.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional painting experience.
• Experience with interior and exterior painting.
• Strong surface preparation skills.
• Proficiency in spray painting.
• Color-matching experience.
• Strong attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Interest in advancing to a Painting Operations Manager or Project Estimator role.
