Center of Family Love (CFL) in Okarche, OK is a faith-based, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that provides residential and employment programs for adults with intellectual disabilities by cultivating their interests, skills and independence to live creative, productive and joyous lives. We are located 30 minutes west of north Oklahoma City.
Job SummaryResponsible for training and transporting resident employees to and from their daily employment. Provides on the job support and development to increase their job satisfaction and community interaction.
Qualifications and Training RequirementsBasic knowledge of serving individuals with developmental disabilities. High school diploma or GED. At least one year of experience in a related field. Must have reliable transportation, valid Oklahoma drivers license, auto insurance as required by the State of Oklahoma, must pass OSBI background check, and no prior listing on the Oklahoma Community Registry. Must utilize good communication skills and be a team player.
Will complete, at the Center of Family Loves expense, all state mandated training within the time frames specified.
Physical requirements include frequent bending, standing, walking; continuous ability for speech communication and hearing in order to communicate with residents, employees and the public, vision for reading, recording and interpreting information, ability to stand for long hours at a time, and the ability to lift/carry a maximum of 25 pounds. Satisfactory completion of post-offer, pre-employment physical as required.

- Assist clients in learning their jobs both in center based and community employment.
- Transport resident employees to and from work as specified in a weekly schedule.
- Provide continual support to resident employees working in center based and community employment and foster greater community interaction.
- Assist and teach resident employees to advocate for themselves.
- Act as an advocate on the resident employees behalf when they are unable to advocate for themselves.
- Provide job development to place center based residents in community jobs.
- Maintain current and accurate documentation based on program/contract requirements.
- Ensures that resident employees sign in and out correctly.
- Monitors attendance and payroll for accuracy.
- Provides clear instructions to resident employees in a way that can be understood and effectively managed.
- Works to identify the specific skill sets of resident employees and matches them appropriately with jobs that fall within their skill sets.
- Ensures that State regulations are followed regarding fire drills and tornado drills.
- Maintains compliance for State surveys.
- Maintains documents of contracts, time studies, grids, and MARS.
- Protect the privacy and confidentiality of information pertaining to the residents, CFL staff, facility information and records.
- Maintain a safe and secure working environment and practices safe working habits.
- Must comply with the Center of Family Love attendance policy.
- Maintain a neat appearance, good personal hygiene and appropriate attire.
- Participate in training, in-services, and meetings as required.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as directed.
