Program Coordinator, Building Bridges (Grant Funded)
Job Summary
Responsible for engaging target market in communities and providing case management, advocacy, service referrals, and training to Cherokee Nation citizens experiencing poverty.
Job Duties
- Gain a deep understanding of the Building Bridges program strategies and processes.
- Provide supportive services including case management, advocacy, and referral services to individuals experiencing poverty.
- Support and advocate for clients while being a positive role model through problem‑solving and conflict resolution to ensure a consistent, safe, and secure community living environment is available to everyone.
- Act as a liaison between clients and other service providers at the Cherokee Nation and within communities.
- Achieve and maintain Curriculum Training certification.
- Facilitate workshops for program participants as well as identified community organizations.
- Plan and conduct workshops in designated areas of the reservation.
- Maintain client database, including progress of clients as they work through and graduate from the program.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

No supervisory responsibility.
Qualifications
Educational RequirementAssociate's degree from a 2-year college or technical school; or two (2) years (60 credit hours) coursework from a 4-year college or university; or three (3) years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience RequirementNo additional experience required.
Computer SkillsKnowledge of spreadsheet software and word processing software.
Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsMust possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets the requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
Other QualificationsThe employee must not be, and will not be, under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
Must meet and maintain periodic background investigation and adjudication for child care.
Physical DemandsThe employee is regularly required to talk or hear, frequently required to stand and sit, occasionally required to walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and taste or smell. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Work EnvironmentThe employee may occasionally be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, extreme cold (non-weather), and extreme heat (non-weather). Noise level is usually moderate.
