Our client is seeking a passionate and proactive Community & Engagement Specialist to join their team. As a Community & Engagement Specialist, you will be part of the Community Management department supporting the Community Engagement team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong community management experience, and a creative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Community & Engagement Specialist

Location: Austin, TX

• Oversee the daily operations of the gaming community Discord, ensuring respectful and inclusive conversations.
• Plan and execute engaging community activities such as polls, AMAs, watch parties, and themed events.
• Identify and recognize active community members to foster ongoing positive contributions.
• Manage and support a team of volunteer moderators, guiding decision-making and enforcing community guidelines.
• Collaborate with marketing and social media teams to develop integrated community activation strategies.

• Experience in community strategy, moderation, and content drafting/publishing.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage volunteer teams effectively.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to develop innovative strategies to enhance community engagement.
• Knowledge of Discord platform features and best practices for community management.
