Job Description
The Well Done Foundation is seeking a fulltime Safety Specialist who is responsible for ensuring workplace safety, compliance with regulations, and implementing safety protocols to protect employees and the environment and minimize risks.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct Safety Inspections:
Regularly inspect the workplace to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations. - Develop Safety Policies:
Create and implement safety policies and procedures to mitigate risks and promote a culture of safety within the organization. - Provide Training:
Conduct safety training sessions for employees to educate them on safety practices and emergency procedures. - Investigate Incidents:
Analyze accidents and incidents to determine their causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences. - Maintain Records:
Keep accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, and incident reports to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. - Collaborate with Departments:
Work with various departments to address safety concerns and integrate safety practices into daily operations. - Monitor Compliance:
Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local safety regulations, including OSHA standards.
- Education:
A bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred. - Certifications:
Certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) are preferred. - Experience:
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a safety-related role, with a strong understanding of safety regulations and practices, is required.

Ability to assess risks and develop effective safety strategies. - Communication
Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively train employees and report findings to management. - Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Skills:
Ability to analyze incidents and develop solutions to improve workplace safety.
Work Environment Safety Specialists typically work in various environments, including industrial settings, construction sites, and oil & gas locations. The role may require some travel to different sites for inspections and training sessions.
