Staff Accountant
Full-time | Finance | Location - Olathe, Kansas 66062
We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to perform key accounting functions, including month-end close activities, reconciliations, journal entries, and audit planning and coordination. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial reporting while building and maintaining productive, positive relationships with both customers and colleagues across the organization. This role is crucial in supporting the company's financial integrity and requires strong communication and collaboration skills.

- Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and other general ledger accounts on a regular basis.
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries.
- Compile and submit monthly supplemental reports for financial statements.
- Prepare annual schedules for external audits.
- Oversee and perform monthly intercompany and related party reconciliations.
- Conduct financial statement analysis and research.
- Foster and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues across departments.
- Proactively identify and recommend process improvements.
- Assist in month-end close activities.
- Perform additional general accounting and financial tasks as needed.
- Must possess a minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience required.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP principles with hands-on experience.
- Skilled in using ERP accounting software.
- Proficient in typing and 10-key by touch.
- Proven ability to provide timely, friendly, and accurate customer service to both internal and external clients.
- Demonstrated discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Outstanding organizational, time management, and follow-up capabilities.
- High attention to detail with strong research and analytical abilities.
- Experience with project management and marketing software/tools.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Suite (Mail, Calendar, Sheets, Drive).
