QUICK LUBE TECHNICIAN
Location: Oakes Auto Group | Olathe, KS
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday with rotating Saturdays
Compensation: $18.00–$22.00 per hour, based on experience
THE ROLE
Oakes Auto Group is looking for a Quick Lube Technician to join our growing service team in Olathe. This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in automotive maintenance who is eager to learn, grow, and build a long-term career in the automotive industry.

Community involvement and volunteer opportunities
- Perform vehicle inspections and basic maintenance services
- Identify potential issues in systems or components before failure occurs
- Drive vehicles for testing and ensure proper fluid levels
- Maintain tire pressure and perform basic cleaning and lubrication tasks
- Replace oil filters, drain plugs, and communicate service needs with teammates
- Use hand tools, power tools, and basic diagnostic equipment to complete repairs
- Support shop efficiency while maintaining safety and quality standards
The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of basic automotive systems and maintenance practices, along with a willingness to learn and grow within a service department. They bring solid problem-solving skills, pay close attention to detail, and communicate clearly while maintaining a positive, team-first attitude. A genuine interest in the automotive industry and a desire for long-term career growth are important for success in this role.
REQUIREMENTS- Valid driver’s license with a clean or acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass a standard background check
- Strong reliability and consistent attendance
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new systems
- High school diploma or GED required
- ASE Certification, technical degree, or one year of service department experience preferred
