Job Title:

Superintendent – Commercial Building Division

This position is responsible for managing field operations for self-performed, large scope commercial projects, such as water/waste-water treatment facilities, industrial structures and commercial buildings.

• Work alongside Project Manager to ensure projects are completed safely and on-schedule.
• Manage and assist with self-performed and sub-contracted scopes of work.
• Maintain an organized and safe working environment.
• Provide status reports regarding production, anticipated challenges and labor needs.
• Conduct scheduled sub-contractor meetings and safety debriefs.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations across all project phases.
• Resolve any project-related issues promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to timelines and budgets.
• Other miscellaneous duties as directed by the VP of the Commercial Building Division.

• 5+ years of experience managing large scope commercial projects as a general contractor.
• Proven experience in managing skilled trades and sub-contractors.
• Strong working knowledge of commercial means and methods along with general best practices.
• Ability to interpret plans and provide clear direction regarding all required specifications.
• Knowledge of and strict adherence to OSHA Construction Standards.
• Ability to collaborate with peers, clients, subcontractors, general public and code officials.
• Ability to stay current on emerging industry trends/technology and pursue continuous education.
• Operate with integrity and in alignment with company values (Skill, Integrity and Responsibility).
• Ability to work flexible hours.

• Bachelor’s in construction management, construction science, engineering, or related field is preferred, but not required.
• Ability to run a total station is preferred.
• Experience with water/waste-water treatment facilities is a plus.
