Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform thorough dental cleanings, and assist in maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment. This role involves working closely with the dental team to promote oral health and ensure patient comfort while adhering to all regulatory standards and infection control protocols.
Experience with EMR systems, dental terminology, and pediatric dentistry is highly valued. The position offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative setting focused on delivering high-quality dental services.
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review
- Assist with patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
- Take digital imaging ensuring proper safety protocols are followed
- Document treatment procedures accurately within EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix
- Maintain strict infection control standards using aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures
- Review medical records for accurate documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Monitor patient comfort throughout procedures, providing reassurance as needed
- Adhere to all OSHA guidelines related to infection control and safety protocols
- Proficiency with dental software such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or other EMR systems
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices
- Experience in pediatric dentistry and general dentistry environments preferred
- Ability to perform patient care tasks including vital signs measurement and patient assessment
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques relevant to dentistry
- Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical coding for accurate documentation review
- Skilled in dental assisting procedures, including chairside support during various treatments
- Attention to detail in maintaining accurate medical records and documentation review processes
- Ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced clinical setting while maintaining high standards of patient care
- Knowledge of Eaglesoft practice management system is preferred.

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
