About The Optometrist PositionThe optometrist will conduct eye exams and practice to the full capacity of their license. The role is focused on establishing patient relationships, educating patients on eye care, and contributing to practice growth. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, collaborative, focused, adaptable, accountable, and resilient. As a member of our team, putting patients first is essential.
- Establish long‑term patient relationships through proper patient care and education
- Conduct verbal interview with patients prior to exams to determine health and ocular history, medical issues, reasons for their visit, and visual wants and needs
- Instruct, recommend, and advise patients on options for remediation of ametropias, systemic and ocular disease
- Perform vision tests and analyze results
- Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and medications
- Recommend or provide treatments such as vision therapy or low‑vision rehabilitation (brand specific)
- Provide pre‑ and post‑operative care to patients undergoing eye surgery
- Communicate with opticians and other sales staff for recommendations on the best possible lenses
We reward our doctors well with a competitive salary, commensurate with experience.
Salary Range – $100,000 – $140,000 per year
Schedule – Full‑time
Optometrist Requirements- Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree
- Valid Kansas state license to practice optometry
- Strong communication skills
