Open Minds Child Development Center is seeking a flexible, dependable, and nurturing Preschool Floater Teacher to support classrooms across various age groups. This dynamic role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, works well with different teaching teams, and is passionate about early childhood education.
Floater Teachers play a critical role in maintaining classroom continuity, providing support where it’s needed most, and ensuring children continue to thrive in a safe, loving, and engaging environment. You’ll work closely with lead teachers, assist during transitions, and help cover staff absences or breaks.
Salary Range: $15.00 – $18.50 per hour
QualificationsJob Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Related fields accepted with at least 12 credit hours in Child Development or Early Childhood Education
- At least 6 months of experience working in a licensed child care setting
- Ability to work with flexibility and adapt to different age groups and teaching styles
- Familiarity with classroom technology (iPads, digital check-in tools, etc.)
- Physically able to bend, lift up to 40 lbs, and interact at children’s eye level
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Pass all required pre-employment screenings and fingerprint background checks
- Experience working across multiple age groups in an early childhood setting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
