Qualifications- Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering with at least 5 years of progressive electrical engineering experience. - OR
Education:
Associate Degree in Electrical Technology with at least 9 years of progressive electrical engineering experience. - Travel: 5–10 %.
- Work Schedule:
Typical hours 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., Monday–Friday, but flexible to meet business needs. - Technical Proficiency:
Proficient PC user, Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD/Revit, knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish construction standards and specifications.
- Prepare and study technical drawings and electrical specifications to ensure installations and designs conform to standards and customer requirements.
- Plan layout of electrical construction projects.
- Conduct field surveys and study diagrams and other data to identify and correct power system problems.
- Confere with internal and external customers to discuss existing or potential construction projects.
- Provide guidance to ensure construction activities comply with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
- Inspect completed installations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications.
- Compile data and write reports regarding existing and potential engineering studies and projects.
- Operate computer‑assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
- Provide electrical engineering for complex projects with minimal team‑leader oversight.
- Participate in customer / project interviews.
- Proactively guide Level 1 and 2 Engineers and Designers as project‑specific tasks are executed or as other opportunities arise.
- Provide training for other technical personnel in areas of expertise.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
