Johnson County Mental Health is hiring a licensed Master's Level Clinician to work in their Children and Family Services Program, providing clinical services to children, ages 4-18, with severe emotional disabilities (SED) and their families. This position will have primary responsibility for providing clinical services to youth, ages 10-17, in the Juvenile Justice System. The schedule requires evening availability.
This position will remain open until filled.

• Provides individual, family, and group therapy to clients within the juvenile detention center and the Juvenile Justice System. Follows best practice guidelines/standards of care in work with clients.
• Conducts initial clinical intakes and assessments for new clients.
• Completes required documentation. Develops, monitors, and updates treatment plans.
• Conducts hospital and Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility screens for persons at risk of danger to self or others. Develops diversion or discharge plans to ensure safety in the community.
• Functions as part of a treatment team by attending regular team meetings at both juvenile detention and JCMHC, providing support to others.
• Provides resource referrals.
• Provides crisis intervention services and assessments when needed.
• Conducts mental health assessments for court as needed.
• Completes court ordered Competency Evaluations for youth.

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or other Human Services field and Kansas Behavioral Sciences licensure at the master's level in the area of focus are required. May require a KS/MO driver's license, depending on department or agency.
