THIS POSITION IS FOR CURRENT MNU STUDENTS ONLY.
WE ONLY ACCEPT FEDERAL WORK STUDY.

Summary:

The Sports Medicine Student Worker will work directly with the Director of Sports Medicine and Assistant Athletic Trainers to assist the Sports Medicine department with normal athletic training room duties and practice/game coverages.

Various Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Always work on improving knowledge and skills of athletic injuries and procedures.
  • Assist with getting sports medicine equipment ready for practices and games and assist with the clean-up following those events.
  • Assist the Certified Athletic Trainer with rehabilitation of injured athletes.
  • Assistthe Certified Athletic Trainer in making inventory of equipment and supplies.
  • Clean and disinfect athletic training room.
  • Other tasks assigned.
Qualifications

Qualifications for Employment:

  • Interest in the Sports Medicine field preferred.

  • Knowledge of what Athletic Trainers do & what a work life will look like in this profession.
  • Recognizing, treating, and preventing certain injuries & illnesses such as taping and working rehabilitation equipment.
