Medical Office Coordinator
Join HCA Healthcare’s College Park Family Care Center as a Medical Office Coordinator and help deliver high‑quality, efficient patient care.
Responsibilities- Directly responsible for the efficiency and quality of patient experience relating to patient access via online scheduling, inbound phone calls, and in‑person encounters; and ease and accuracy of registration processes, including collection of co‑pays and deductibles.
- Assist in hiring and selecting clerical and clinical (non‑provider) practice staff in partnership with the practice manager or physician assistants.
- Onboard and orient new non‑provider staff members in accordance with organizational standards and performance metrics.
- Communicate regularly with staff to foster an inclusive environment that encourages all voices.
- Oversee preparation of patients for examination and treatment.
- Maintain processes for managing inbound and outbound patient referrals.
- Schedule staff at daily levels appropriate to volume demands, following care standards and operating metrics.
- Provide frontline staffing support to maintain practice operations (answering phones, scheduling, rooming patients, etc.).
- Maintain practice supply inventory, facilities, and staffing in functional operating condition.
- Assist in maintaining patient files, records, and other information.
- Compile technical and statistical data for reports on operational priorities such as scheduling, volume, cancellations, and no‑shows.
- Handle patient complaints promptly and report findings to appropriate leadership.
- Perform other duties as required.
- High school diploma or GED (preferred).
- Medical Office Specialist or related practice operations certificate (preferred).
- Two or more years of medical office experience (required).
- RMA, CMA, or LPN certificate is beneficial.
- CPR certification is preferred.
