The Industrial Engineer’s goal is to create or improve products, systems, and designs to make them safer and more efficient. This role involves examining manufacturing processes to identify opportunities to reduce energy consumption, streamline production times, and minimize resource use while ensuring compliance with safety policies. Knowledge of Lean manufacturing methods is a key skill.
Minimum Requirements- Education:
BS in industrial engineering or a related field such as manufacturing or mechanical engineering. - Experience:
2‑3 years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment. - Travel: 10–25%.
- Work Schedule:
7 AM to 5 PM, Monday–Friday; may require work at any time to meet business needs.
- Monitors operations with an eye toward improving productivity and efficiency.
- Designs efficient production processes and workflows.
- Ensures that processes meet quality standards.
- Reduces waste and addresses production issues.
- Reviews production schedules, processes, and specifications.
- Evaluates data to implement technological improvements.
- Implements controls to monitor costs and minimize production issues.
- Works with other departments to develop design and production standards.
- Prepares inventory analysis and procurement purchase orders.
- Designs facility layout and personnel requirements.
- Helps develop instruction manuals and process documentation.
- Ensures safe work processes and addresses safety concerns.
- Generates process reports.
- Participates in hiring referral and mentoring programs.
- Performs other related duties as required.
