Role Overview and ResponsibilitiesThis position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR (U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee).
IntroductionThe Sr. Production Technician serves as a senior resource in the production area, providing advanced operational expertise, informal leadership, and support for process optimization. This role is responsible for complex operations, advanced troubleshooting, and supporting continuous improvement and training efforts.
Key Responsibilities- Perform advanced and complex production operations requiring high skill and precision.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment, process, and quality issues with minimal support.
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for assigned processes or equipment.
- Train and mentor Production Technician employees.
- Support implementation of continuous improvement, Lean, and standard work improvements.
- Assist with new product introductions (NPI), process validation, or equipment trials.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to improve performance.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Advanced technical and process knowledge.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Leadership through influence and example.
- Ability to coach and develop others.
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation (ADA).
- GED or High School Diploma preferred.
- 3+ years of progressively responsible manufacturing experience.
- Advanced mechanical and/or electrical skills.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and improve processes.
