Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry position on the Cardiac Unit with night shifts and advanced cardiac care requirements.

• Work in a hospital setting on the 4
  
  East Cardiac Telemetry Unit
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Every other weekend required
• Required to work one major holiday per assigned period, including Thanksgiving or Christmas and New Year's
• Floating to all acute care units as needed
• Care for cardiac patients, including those post-procedure and on cardiac drips
• Experience with TR Bands and cardiac medication drips such as Heparin, Lasix, Cardizem, Butamax, and Tikosyn/Sotalol initiation required
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Attendance at a structured orientation, including main campus, unit-specific, Director of Nursing, and Epic EMR training
• Must work in a nicotine-free facility
• Must participate in all required aspects of orientation and training
• Holiday coverage required per unit needs
• No on-call responsibilities
• Bi-weekly pay periods

• Active KS or compact RN license
• Minimum 1 year of recent telemetry experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience with post-procedure TR Bands, advanced cardiac drips, and Tikosyn/Sotalol initiation required
• Preferred 2-5 years of telemetry experience
