As a Staff Nurse(RN or LPN), you will be a vital clinical presence, responding to medical needs, supporting treatment teams, and ensuring safe, timely, and compassionate care.
Position SummaryThis role supports the overall health and safety of acute psychiatric patients through medication administration, health assessments, infection control, documentation, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and consultation with direct care staff
Key ResponsibilitiesComplete nursing assessments and documentation within required timelines.
Perform ongoing assessments and monitor vital signs per policy.
Administer medications, including psychotropic and PRN medications, and document accurately.
Monitor infection control, respond to injuries and emergencies, and provide first aid as needed.
Communicate with physicians, guardians, and treatment teams regarding patient health.
Maintain accurate documentation of all medical interventions, orders, and records.
Partner with the staff nutritionist to meet patient dietary needs and report allergies.
Participate in treatment planning, staff training, and patient education groups.
Assist with lab specimen collection and ensure timely pharmacy coordination.
Support safety and wellbeing by following all KVC procedures and protocols.
Required QualificationsCompletion of Nursing Program
Active Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Kansas
New graduates welcomed to apply!
At least 20 years of age
Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
Shift Differentials:
- Eligible for weekend differential ($2/hr), evening differential ($3/hr), and preceptor differential ($2/hr)
Pay scale:
LPN:$28.50 - 36.20 per hour
RN:$35.00 - $46.45 per hour
Pay is based on education and years of experience.
