This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. Introduction
The Quality Technician plays a critical role in maintaining site-wide quality control by managing all non-conforming material, coordinating third-party source inspections, and performing timely inspections on returned goods. This position ensures proper containment and documentation of quality issues, prepares and supports materials for external inspections, and provides quick assessments of returned items to facilitate accurate and timely customer responses. The technician partners closely with Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain to resolve issues, maintain accurate quality records, and uphold all procedural and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and process all non-conforming material, including identification, segregation, documentation, and disposition.
Coordinate and facilitate third-party source inspections, ensuring required materials, documentation, and quality records are prepared and available.
Perform timely inspections on returned goods (RMA), including visual, mechanical, or dimensional checks to support quick evaluation and customer response.
Maintain accurate records for NCRs, source inspections, RMAs, and other quality-related data in accordance with internal procedures.
Support material flow by resolving quality holds quickly and escalating issues when needed to prevent delays or quality escapes.
Collaborate with Quality Engineers, Operations, and Supply Chain to investigate issues, verify corrective actions, and support continuous improvement activities.
Follow established quality procedures, work instructions, and regulatory/ITAR requirements to ensure compliance and audit readiness.

Core Requirements
Exceptional attention to detail with strong observational and analytical skills to identify quality issues accurately and consistently.
Proficiency with inspection tools and equipment, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measurement instruments.
Working knowledge of quality systems and methodologies, such as AS9100, ISO standards, Lean Manufacturing, and root-cause analysis tools.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and technical documentation with a high level of accuracy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across Quality, Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain.
Advanced computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite, quality management software (QMS), and data analysis tools within a manufacturing or regulated environment.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation, in accordance with ADA requirements.
Desireable Skills and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical, vocational, or trade school training in quality control, manufacturing, engineering, or a related field strongly preferred.
