Position Summary:

The Underwriting Associate is responsible for supporting clients, producers, and underwriters by providing excellent customer service and administrative support across all lines of insurance. The Underwriting Associate ensures timely, accurate, and courteous service to policyholders and agency partners, while maintaining compliance with agency procedures and carrier guidelines.

Key Responsibilities :

• Serve as a primary point of contact for client inquiries, providing accurate information on coverages, policy changes, billing, and claims processes.
• Process policy endorsements, certificates of insurance, evidence of insurance, and other service requests.
• Communicate with insurance carriers regarding policy changes, renewals, cancellations, and reinstatements.
• Assist with policy quoting, renewals, and re-marketing as needed.
• Maintain accurate and organized client records in the agency management system
• Monitor and follow up on open tasks, renewals, and outstanding client or carrier requests.
• Support underwritings with pre-renewal strategy and remarketing.
• Comply with company workflows, regulatory requirements, and carrier underwriting guidelines.
• Participate in continuing education and training to maintain licensure and product knowledge.

Work Environment:

• Office-based
• Standard working hours 9-5
