Technician Gas )

• The Gas Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and servicing gas piping systems for both natural gas (NG) and propane (LP) applications in residential and light commercial settings. This role requires a skilled and safety-minded professional who takes pride in quality workmanship, attention to detail, and delivering exceptional service. The ideal candidate values teamwork, safety, and precision while ensuring all installations meet regulatory codes and company standards.

• A minimum of 2 plus years of experience in gas piping, propane, or natural gas system installation required.
• Strong understanding of gas codes, safety standards, and installation best practices.
• 0408 Gas License (or higher) strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and installation schematics.
• Proficient in the use of hand and power tools; must supply personal hand tools.
• Experience operating light excavation equipment (mini-ex, skid steer) a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record required).
• Professional appearance, strong communication skills, and positive attitude.
• Must be punctual, dependable, and willing to work overtime when required to complete installations.
• Physical & Work Requirements
  - Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must adhere to all safety procedures, including use of PPE and proper trenching practices.

• Install gas piping systems from natural gas meters and propane tanks to a variety of appliances, including:
  
  - Standby generators
  - Water heaters (tank and tankless) - Cooktops, ranges, and BBQs
  - Pool and spa heaters
  - Fireplaces and outdoor fire features
  - Perform underground LP tank installations and trenching as required.
  
  - Connect and test standby generators and other gas-fueled appliances safely and accurately.
  
  - Conduct leak checks, pressure testing, and system verification per code requirements.
  
  - Operate excavation equipment such as Bobcat mini excavators, skid steers, or loaders (preferred but not required).
  
  - Collaborate closely with electricians, installers, and project leads to ensure on-time and high-quality installations.
  
  - Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment at job sites.
  
  - Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and local code requirements.

• Driving:
  Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
