Role OverviewA privately‑owned Water Treatment / Water Hygiene specialist is seeking a switched‑on and professional Water Treatment Operations Manager to join their outfit. You will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of services to a diverse portfolio of clients, monitoring quality of works, deadline adherence and customer satisfaction.
Eligible Locations- Oldham, Rochdale, Manchester, Stockport, Bolton, Altrincham, Knutsford, Warrington, Runcorn, Chester, Ellesmere Port, St Helens, Wigan, Liverpool, Chorley, Blackburn, Preston, Southport, Ormskirk, Burnley, Blackpool, Huddersfield, Halifax, Bradford, Leeds, Wakefield, Pontefract, Skipton, Harrogate, Knaresborough, York, Durham, Newcastle‑upon‑Tyne, Wetherby, Middlesborough, Sunderland.
- Hands‑on experience as a Water Treatment Operations Manager.
- Ideally holds industry‑related qualifications (e.g. City and Guilds WMSoc in Legionella Risk Assessing, NVQ Plumbing, G3 Unvented).
- Fully conversant in ACOP L8 and HSG 274 guidelines.
- Confident in leading teams on site and within the office.
- Flexible to travel in line with company needs.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills.
- Proficient in using IT software.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Oversee the successful completion of Water Treatment, Water Hygiene, Legionella and Plumbing services.
- Lead teams to effectively plan projects and allocate workloads to engineers.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients and colleagues.
- Troubleshoot issues on site, ensuring a smooth outcome.
- Conduct quality assurance and competency checks to ensure compliance.
- Train and support engineers on a daily basis.
- Handle any complaints from clients.
- Support the continued growth of the company portfolio, identify gaps in the market, upsell and follow up on warm leads.
- Ensure projects run in accordance with set budgets and deadlines.
- Attend sites to conduct initial risk assessments prior to works starting.
- Liaise with sub-contractors and suppliers.
- Investigate and resolve accident/incident incidents.
- Complete relevant project documents.
