Experienced Technical Designer required in Oldham for an established design and manufacturing company, a people focussed Investors in People Platinum Award organisation.

In the role you will working closely with the Design Director, youll take creative concepts and turn them into practical, well-engineered solutions, using Solid Works to develop detailed designs through to manufacture.

Its a varied role with plenty of ownership, covering everything from technical drawings, costing and sourcing through to prototyping, site surveys and final production specifications.

Were looking for someone with experience in retail display, shopfitting or manufacturing, a strong understanding of materials and construction techniques, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Youll need a comprehensive understanding of engineering drawing across a range of mediums including wood, metal and plastics etc. as well as industry knowledge of fixings and construction techniques.
