We are partnering with a friendly and inclusive specialist school in Oldham that is looking to appoint a committed SEMH Behaviour Support Worker to join their dedicated team. SEMH Behaviour Support Worker
- Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs
Support the class teacher with lesson delivery, behaviour management, and targeted interventions
Encourage positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and coping strategies throughout the school day
Help monitor pupil progress and communicate effectively with teaching staff and families
What We're Looking For
Experience working with children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs (school, care, or youth work backgrounds welcome)
A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to behaviour support
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
An understanding of SEMH and SEND strategies
A relevant qualification in education, care, or support is beneficial but not essential
SEMH Behaviour Support Worker - To Be Eligible You Must:
Hold the Right to Work in the UK
Have an enhanced child barred list DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply)
Be able to provide two professional references (child-related preferred)
