Secondary Teaching Assistant

Mainstream secondary school, Oldham
Are you an experienced Secondary Teaching Assistant looking to support pupils across KS3 and KS4 in core subjects (English, Maths and Science)? This role is not suitable for applicants with only nursery, EYFS or unqualified tutoring experience.
Requirements (must-have):
At least 1 full academic year's experience in a UK mainstream secondary school
Confident supporting pupils in KS3 and KS4 lessons
Strong behaviour management and classroom support skills
Minimum Level 2/3 TA qualification or degree (or in final year of study)
Good GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Desirable:
Experience supporting small groups for GCSE intervention
Experience supporting pupils with mild SEND within a mainstream classroom
Key duties:
In-class support alongside the class teacher in core subjects
Working with small groups to reinforce learning and exam skills
Supporting behaviour, focus and engagement in lessons
Helping pupils prepare for assessments and GCSE exams
