Teaching Personnel are recruiting dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support a range of primary schools across Oldham. These roles are to begin immediately and will continue for the remainder of the academic year.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who require additional support, either on a one‑to‑one basis or within small groups. The role involves assisting with personalised learning activities, supporting behaviour and emotional regulation, and contributing to a positive, inclusive classroom environment. You will be working alongside teaching staff to help pupils access learning, develop confidence, and make progress both academically and socially.

A Level 3 qualification is desired for these positions but not essential. Experience working with children, particularly those with SEN, is highly valued. A patient, supportive and proactive attitude is essential, along with a DBS registered on the Update Service or the willingness to obtain one through Teaching Personnel.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
