Position: Science Teacher (0.8 contract)
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher to join one of our excelling secondary schools in Oldham, on a part-time 0.8 contract (four days per week) from May 2026 to February 2027.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher who is committed to delivering high-quality science lessons and inspiring students to achieve their full potential.

The Role

Teaching Science across relevant Key Stages (year groups aligned to experience)

Planning, delivering and assessing engaging, well-structured lessons

Monitoring student progress and providing clear, constructive feedback

Contributing to the wider work of the department and school community

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential

Have experience teaching Science in a secondary school setting

Demonstrate strong classroom management skills

Be organised, reliable and able to work effectively as part of a team

Show a genuine passion for Science and student achievement

This fixed-term, part-time 0.8 FTE position offers an excellent opportunity for teachers seeking flexibility while continuing to make a meaningful impact in the classroom.
