Exam Invigilator

We are currently hiring Exam Invigilators here at The Education Specialists.
We are recruiting reliable, professional invigilators to work across secondary schools in Oldham, Rochdale, and Tameside during peak exam periods.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up exam rooms exactly as instructed, including seating plans and materials

• Check candidate identity and ensure students are seated correctly

• Clearly read exam instructions and enforce exam rules without exception

• Supervise students throughout the exam to prevent malpractice

• Respond appropriately to issues such as illness, disruption, or suspected cheating

• Record and report any incidents accurately and immediately

• Collect, count, and secure exam papers at the end of the exam

• Maintain a quiet, controlled exam environment at all times

Essential Requirements

• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions to the letter

• Confident dealing with secondary-age students

• Able to stay alert and focused for long periods

• Comfortable enforcing rules and challenging poor behaviour when necessary

• Basic literacy and numeracy skills

• Willing to work early mornings and variable hours during exam seasons

• Knowledge of JCQ exam regulations

Safeguarding & Compliance

• Enhanced DBS check required

• Mandatory safeguarding and invigilator training will be provided

• You must adhere to all school safeguarding, confidentiality, and data protection policies
