SEN Tutor Oldham
Location:
Oldham (community-based or in-home sessions)
Pay Rate: GBP
25 per hour (starting rate)

About the Role
Prospero Teaching is looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Tutor to support students in the Oldham area, starting in March 2026. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and can tailor their teaching methods to meet each students individual needs, helping them progress academically and build confidence.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver 1:1 tutoring sessions for students with SEN (Autism, ADHD, SEMH, learning disabilities, etc.), adapting lessons to suit each students specific needs.
Use engaging and flexible teaching strategies to support students in improving subject knowledge, study skills, and confidence.
Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for each student.
Monitor student progress, providing regular, constructive feedback to parents, carers, or relevant professionals.
Develop personalized learning plans, ensuring each students individual goals and needs are met effectively.
Essential Requirements
Minimum of 1 year of experience working with students with SEN.
Right to work in the UK.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain).
Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
Desirable Qualifications
QTS or PGCE in Special Education or a related field.
Experience working with students with a range of SEN (Autism, ADHD, SEMH).
Additional Information
Sessions are typically scheduled during school hours, with occasional after-school or evening availability.
