With a strong team ethos and a child-centred approach, the school is seeking a committed SEN and SEMH Learning Support Assistant who is ready to make a meaningful impact both inside and outside the classroom.
About the Role:
* Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with EHCPs and SEMH needs
* Work closely with the class teacher to adapt learning, manage behaviour positively, and implement personalised strategies
* Promote emotional regulation, resilience, and independence through consistent routines
* Build trusting relationships that help pupils feel safe, understood, and supported
* Support progress tracking and maintain clear communication with parents and the wider multidisciplinary team
What We're Looking For:
* Previous experience supporting children with SEND or SEMH needs in an education or care setting
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive, professional relationships
* A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
* A good understanding of Autism, SEMH, and wider SEND needs
* A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification
To be eligible you must:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service OR be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references
