Temporary (with potential to become permanent) We are currently seeking a dedicated Autism Specialist Teacher to join a supportive SEN provision in Oldham, working with pupils who have Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and associated communication needs.

This role offers a rewarding opportunity to work within a specialist setting designed to support pupils through structured routines, tailored teaching strategies, and a nurturing learning environment that enables every learner to succeed.

As an Autism Specialist Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver individualised and differentiated lessons suited to the learning needs of pupils with ASC
  • Support pupils with communication, sensory, and social interaction needs
  • Use specialist teaching approaches to help pupils remain engaged and confident in their learning
  • Encourage the development of independence, communication, and emotional regulation skills
  • Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists, and SEN professionals
  • Maintain strong communication with parents and carers to support pupils' progress
  • Create a structured, predictable, and supportive classroom environment Your role will focus on helping pupils feel safe, confident, and motivated to achieve their personal and academic goals.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has experience working with pupils with Autism or additional learning needs
  • Demonstrates strong differentiation and personalised teaching strategies
  • Is patient, adaptable, and resilient
  • Has excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Is passionate about inclusive education and supporting pupils with SEN
  • Main Pay Scale (MPS) paid from day one
  • SEN allowance for specialist teaching
