As a school, we are committed to the continued development of our inclusion and pastoral systems to best support our students. We are delighted to invite candidates to apply for the role of Learning Support Manager to support the next phase of the Achievement for All Department.

The Achievement for All Department supports all students who have a barrier to learning. This includes our SEND students who fit under the four broad areas of need. We are also responsive to supporting students who are under investigation.

This role is responsive to the growing needs of our student population. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop and grow the support in the Achievement for All Room.

The AFA room is a base for our most vulnerable students not only at break and lunchtimes, but during lessons for those who need regulation time, as well as an intervention space before and after school.

Responsibilities
  • Support students lesson by lesson within the AFA Room and work with the Achievement for All Leadership to map out and implement the AFA timetable each day.
  • Monitor which students are in AFA lesson by lesson and support with their work.
  • Implement a regulation area in AFA for any students who need bespoke intervention during lessons.
  • Support lessons where required, working with small groups and 1:1.
  • Work collaboratively and support with our Bridge provision (on-site Alternative Provision) to provide intensive support for emotional regulation and smaller group curriculum support.
  • Show flexibility, strong communication, and creative thinking to ensure the AFA room is managed effectively and provides best support to the most vulnerable students.
