RoleProgramme Tutor - GCSE English to support the effective delivery of College services and priorities.
Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality English lessons in line with curriculum and awarding body requirements
- Monitor student progress, attendance, and achievement, taking action to address concerns
- Provide clear targets and timely, constructive feedback to support learner development
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of diverse learners, including those with SEND
- Contribute to quality assurance processes, including standardisation and continuous improvement activities
- Carry out duties in line with College policies and procedures, including safeguarding and equality commitments
- Qualified teacher (or working towards) with a strong English subject background
- Experience delivering teaching in a learning environment, ideally within Further Education
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire learners
- Ability to differentiate teaching to support a range of learner needs
- Organised and proactive, with the ability to track progress and maintain accurate records
