Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Local to the school
Pay: £120 per day
Hours: Monday to Friday, Term Time Only
Start Dates: September 2026
What You’ll Be Doing as a Cover SupervisorLeading and managing classrooms across a variety of subjects, ensuring pupils remain safe, engaged, and on-task in the teacher’s absence.
Delivering pre-set lesson plans smoothly and managing classroom behaviour confidently using calm, structured, and consistent de-escalation strategies.
Supporting vulnerable learners and pupils with diverse SEND and SEMH needs (such as ADHD, autism, and emotional regulation differences) within a mainstream setting.
Working closely with the school’s internal SEND team and external specialists to implement person-centred strategies in real-world scenarios.
Must possess excellent communication, literacy, and numeracy skills.
Must have recent experience working with children, youth groups, or vulnerable individuals (paid or voluntary).
Must demonstrate high emotional intelligence, resilience, and the ability to adapt to fluid classroom environments.
- Must have exceptional behaviour management skills and be a proactive educator.
