Summary What skills and experience we're looking for
  • Is passionate about inclusion and SEND provision
  • Understands the barriers to learning that children with special educational needs may face and be able to use effective strategies to support them
  • Is able to relate well to children with additional needs, supporting them to regulate their feelings and emotions
  • Leads by example and motivates children and colleagues
  • Is creative, innovative, and committed to continuous improvement
  • Is ready to take on a rewarding challenge with real impact
  • Has an NVQ 2 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification or experience
  • Has Literacy and Numeracy skills equivalent to Level 1 of the National Qualification & Credit Framework
  • Completed Department for Education Teaching Assistant Induction Programme (or to complete within first term)
  • Has a full and relevant qualification accepted by the Department for Education (DfE) to work in an early years setting
  • Has a secure knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Statutory Framework.
  • Displays good understanding of a child's development and learning.
  • Has experience of developing learning resources that scaffold and support learning
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills to liaise sensitively and effectively with parents and carers
