Engage Education is working in partnership with a Good-rated primary school in Chadderton to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA).
This welcoming school has high aspirations for every pupil and is on an exciting journey from Good to Outstanding. With a supportive leadership team, dedicated staff and a strong focus on continuous improvement, the school is looking for a confident HLTA who can make a positive impact across the whole school.
This is a varied role, supporting teaching and learning across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. You’ll work alongside teachers to deliver high-quality learning, provide intervention support and confidently lead whole-class teaching when required.
About the RoleAs a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Deliver planned lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 in the absence of the class teacher
- Support teaching and learning within classrooms across the school
- Deliver targeted interventions to raise attainment in literacy and numeracy
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils requiring additional help
- Adapt learning activities to meet the needs of pupils with a range of abilities
- Work closely with teachers to assess progress and provide effective feedback
- Help create a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment throughout the school
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and support school events where appropriate
We’re looking for someone who is:
- An experienced HLTA or an accomplished Teaching Assistant ready to step into a higher-level role
- Confident delivering lessons across the primary age range, including Early Years
- Flexible, adaptable and happy working across different year groups
- Passionate about helping children reach their full potential
- A strong communicator who enjoys working collaboratively with colleagues
- Committed to maintaining high standards of teaching, learning and behaviour
