Overview

Due to ongoing growth in our UK business, Geosyntec has an exciting opportunity for an
Environmental Field Technician to join our site investigation & remediation practice, reporting to our office in Delph

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Collect samples of soil, groundwater, surface water and air as part of environmental investigations.
  • Prepare daily and weekly field reports, construction schedules, and progress reports.
  • Review field documentation for accuracy and consistency with company policy and procedures.
  • Interact with project personnel (contractors, project managers, engineers, and clients) and assist in cultivating an integrated team approach through open communication.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in geology, physical geography, environmental science, or a related field of study (preferred)
  • Experience operating industry‑typical monitoring and data‑collection technologies, including but not limited to laptop and handheld computers, photoionization detectors, landfill gas meters, GPS, YSI, and other equipment used in collecting environmental samples. (preferred but not essential)
  • Experience with multimedia sampling including soil, water, and air sampling. (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word software programs. (required)
  • Valid UK driving license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
