Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer looking for a permanent and varied role? Is your background in manufacturing? Do you have PLC experience?

We’re partnering with a long-standing client to find an experienced and dedicated Group Electrical Maintenance Engineer to work across a handful of sites around North Manchester.

You’ll have previously worked in a manufacturing environment, in particular with machinery and robotics. You’ll also have experience with programming and fault finding on PLC’s.

About You

* You’ll have your own transport and be committed to working across various sites around North Manchester

* A sound knowledge of A.C / D.C drives is essential

* You'll need your 18th Edition

* City & Guilds 2391 (test and Inspection) is preferred

* IPAF trained

* PLC experience (Siemens ideally)

* There is lots of installation work in this role

* Mechanical experience would be helpful

* Comp Ex and Atex would be an advantage

About The Job

* It's a multi-site role where you'll work across a handful of North Manchester based manufacturing plants

* You'll join as Group Electrical Engineer where you'll be responsible for planned/unplanned maintenance, installation and fault-finding on machinery and equipment from 100 year old machines to top of the range robotics

* They're looking for someone dedicated who can stay with the company for a long time

* The on-call rota is non-negotiable; you must be able to commit to 1 week out of 7
