The finance team at The Guinness Partnership plays a critical role in the success of the organisation. With an overall aim of ensuring Guinness has a strong financial base from which we can be a high-performing organisation.

We are recruiting for an Income Officer to join our Finance Team on a part-time, 12-month fixed-term contract basis, based in our Oldham, Bower House office. We operate on a hybrid working model, working three days in the office and two at home.

The shifts for the part time hours are:

Monday 9am – 3.30pm, Tuesday 9am – 3.30pm and Wednesday 9am–3pm with a 30-minute break each day.

We are a dedicated team working hard to deliver an amazing customer-focused service in a specialised area of work. Our team is responsible for processing all Accounts Receivable transactions to customers and local authorities.

The successful candidate will also be required to chase payment for any unpaid invoices and tailor their approach to our customers across the business.

As an Income Officer, you will work effectively alongside your colleagues and be the first point of contact for both internal and external queries and be responsible for ensuring all invoices are processed on time directly to the customers’ accounts.

About you

This is a busy position and the ability to juggle lots of different tasks is essential, along with experience of working to tight deadlines, good listening skills, and a ‘can-do’ attitude. Excellent customer service skills and an understanding of the importance of good communication – either by phone, email, or letter – is also essential, along with excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow agreed procedures.

You will also be able to demonstrate:

Essential:
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Proven customer service experience.
  • A commitment to teamwork and the ability to adapt to change and be flexible.
  • Good time management and organisational skills.
  • Good oral and written communication.
  • Demonstrates the Guinness Behaviours.
Desirable:
  • Experience in transaction processing.
  • Experience in using a housing management rent accounting system.
  • Experience in using a finance system.
Essential

Qualifications:
  • Level 2 Maths & English qualification
