We’re recruiting for a Finance Assistant in Oldham to join a growing team and work closely with the Head of Finance. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to build a strong foundation in finance while gaining experience across transactional finance, reporting and financial data.

You’ll support with the day-to-day finance function, including transactional finance, maintaining accurate records and assisting with reports. A key part of the role will be understanding the data behind the numbers and helping the wider team use financial information to support business decisions. Working closely with the Head of Finance means you’ll have plenty of opportunity to learn, ask questions and develop your knowledge.

There will also be an element of customer service and communication, so a friendly, confident and approachable personality is important. You’ll be dealing with both internal colleagues and customers, so being comfortable building relationships and communicating clearly will be a real advantage.

We’re looking for someone who is keen to learn, commercially curious and serious about developing a career in finance. You may have some previous accounts or transactional finance experience, be studying towards AAT, or have recently completed a relevant qualification.

Most importantly, this role offers the kind of hands-on exposure that someone early in their finance career should be looking for, with the opportunity to learn from an experienced finance leader and take on more responsibility as your skills develop.
