Job Description

We’re looking for bright, engaged individuals to join our dynamic and friendly team of care professionals at our beautifully renovated care home. We offer a £250 welcome bonus.

As a Housekeeper, you will ensure our spaces are clean, comfortable, and safe, and maintain a high standard of hygiene throughout the property.

Royley House, Lea View, Royton

• Complete daily cleaning requirements for bedrooms and communal areas to an exceptional standard within the allocated timeframe.
• Report very dirty rooms, damages or any other unusual occurrences to the relevant manager.
• Inspect bed linen and towels when changing beds and bathrooms, ensuring a consistent condition, fresh, colour‑consistent and free from stains and tears; remove and report any rejected linen and towel stock.
• Be aware of the condition of all areas of the home and report any maintenance issues to the Maintenance Operative.
• Dispose of rubbish in the correct manner, ensuring recyclable items are separated for recycling.
• Ensure that instructions for cleaning materials are always adhered to and regulations are followed.
• Report any safety hazards or defects that cannot be rectified to the relevant manager (e.g. faulty electrical equipment).
• Comply with all relevant internal rules, policies and procedures, including those relating to Health and Safety, Data Protection and the Team Handbook.

• Prior experience in a similar role and the ability to prove transferable skills
• An understanding of domestic and commercial cleaning products and equipment
• Prior experience in a care setting

Bank Role, 8am‑4pm. Wage rate up to £12.71 per hour.
