Facilities & Operations Manager at Northern Roots

Join us at an exciting time as we prepare to open new visitor facilities, including a Welcome Building, Forestry Skills Centre and urban farm.

The Facilities and Operations Manager will play a key role in transitioning from construction project to live operations, ensuring the site opens safely and is ready for visitors.

This role blends strategic leadership with hands-on management of daily operations, maintenance and safety systems. As part of the Senior Management Team, you will lead and support cleaning, maintenance and administrative staff, helping create a safe, welcoming and commercially sustainable visitor destination.

Salary: £35,500 – £37,000 per annum

Contract:

Fixed term until March 2027. Full time (37.5 hours a week) across 5 days. Regular weekend working will be required once Northern Roots transitions to a seven day work pattern from August 2026.
