Role Overview :

This is a fantastic opportunity to be an integral part of delivering the national SEND
* reforms in Oldham. You will work as part of a programme team to ensure the Council meets delivery expectations and statutory timescales that supports the wellbeing, inclusion and outcomes for children and young people with SEND.

* Special Educational Needs and Disabilities

Key Responsibilities:
  • To work with colleagues across the system to create a robust and proportionate approach to programme and project management that supports delivery and ensures issues are flagged up and addressed as necessary.
  • To provide proportionate support for projects including researching best practice and ensuring solutions are relevant to Oldham
  • To be responsible for assuring the benefits realisation of projects in terms of both cashable and non-cashable benefits against the completion of the project to time, cost and stated quality.
  • To actively monitor and manage the risks, issues, and interdependencies between projects and programmes (internally and externally) to minimise risk and take advantage of any opportunities that may be of an advantage to the Council (i.e. economies of scale that will save the Council time or money)
Key Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Extensive experience of leading, developing, managing and monitoring complex and varied projects simultaneously within a large organisation.
  • Experience of undertaking change management and persuasively communicating with a range of stakeholders to effect change and achieve more efficient practices and processes.
  • Ability to motivate others, work as a team member and team leader in a project context set deadlines and check that work has been completed to the required quality standards
