Overview

SPAW Engineering is a dedicated supplier of precision parts to European Turbo Charger Manufacturers. Due to the continued expansion of our business and product range this has led to the following vacancies arising. Due to continued business growth and a recent restructure within the organisation, we are recruiting an experienced Shift Supervisor to join our expanding manufacturing team. Reporting to the Production Manager
, you will lead and oversee the production of precision CNC components on your shift. You will play a key role in ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and people management.

Shifts

We are currently recruiting on both the following shifts:

  • Days — Mon-Thurs 8am-6pm £15.34ph - £17.51ph depending on experience
  • Weekends — Fri-Sun 8am-8pm £19.07ph - £21.77ph depending on experience
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate production activities on shift
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety procedures across the site
  • Identify, address, and report health and safety concerns promptly
  • Ensure all components are manufactured to the required quality standards
  • Participate in daily production meetings covering quality, progress, plans, and staffing
  • Manage people-related matters including absence, return-to-work interviews, disciplinary and grievance procedures
  • Work closely with the management team to achieve KPIs and drive continuous improvement
About You
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment
  • Confident handling difficult or high-pressure situations
  • Strong problem-solving and organisational skills
  • Reliable, flexible, and able to adapt to changing demands
  • Previous CNC experience (supervisory or hands-on) is highly desirable
