Automation Production Technician

Position: Automation Production Technician (Permanent)
We’re hiring for an Automation Production Technician to take ownership of a fully automated fabrication line based in Oldham.

If you come from a CNC, automated manufacturing, or technical production background and want to move into automation, this is a strong opportunity.

What will you be doing as an Automation Production Technician?

* Operating a fully automated pipe fabrication production line

* Setting up and adjusting machine “recipes” via Siemens PLC interface

* Uploading programmes and preparing the machine for production runs

* Monitoring machine performance and checking output quality

* Ensuring consumables are loaded and available

* Loading and unloading pipework safely

* Supporting safe working practices including lock-out/tag-out procedures

* Attending production meetings and reporting machine performance

* Acting as the operational lead for this machine

What will you need?

* Experience with in an automated manufacturing, CNC or technical production environment

* A strong technical mindset and willingness to learn

* Confidence working with computer-controlled machinery

* Experience with PLC-controlled systems (Siemens familiarity beneficial but not essential)
