RDMS (MTOOL) – Leading UK Manufacturer of High-Precision Plastic Injection Mould Tools
Location: North West England (Oldham area – please refer to our website for details)
Salary: Basic wage £40,000 – £45,000 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications)
Overtime: Paid at 1.5x rate
Holiday: 25 days annual leave + bank holidays

We are seeking a highly skilled, time‑served Injection Mould Toolmaker to join our experienced toolroom team. This is a hands‑on position where you will play a key role in maintaining, repairing, modifying, and building precision injection mould tools to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Manufacture, assemble, fit, and trial new and modified injection mould tools
- Diagnose faults, repair, and maintain existing production tooling
- Perform modifications and improvements to optimise tool performance
- Use a range of toolroom machinery including CNC machines, lathes, milling machines, grinders, EDM, and polishing equipment
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications
- Conduct precision measurement and quality checks using micrometers, gauges, and other metrology equipment
- Collaborate with design, production, and project teams to ensure tools meet customer requirements
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in the toolroom
- Time‑served apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in toolmaking
- Proven experience as an Injection Mould Toolmaker (plastic injection moulding essential)
- Strong skills in tool repair, modification, fitting, spotting, polishing, and bench work
- Competent in operating manual and CNC machinery
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and problem‑solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, proactive, and committed to delivering high‑quality work
